Identification of glacial refugia. Identification of migratory routes. Identification of biogeographical barriers.

2.6. Impact of the foreseen Climte Changes on the Climate Envelopes of the 4 taxa distributions in Europe

Start date End date Duration Members * month
 01-03-2013  31-08-2013  6  7,5

Brief Highlight and Expected Results

2.7. Proposals towards Active Conservation and Management of Relict Peatbogs in Southwestern Europe

Start date End date Duration Members * month
 01-08-2013  31-12-2013  5  6

Brief Highlight and Expected Results

Our aim is to elaborate protection and conservation proposals of the bog communities of SW Portugal which are in risk of extinction in the short term. These proposals may arise as microreserves under the National Association for Conservation of Nature (Quercus), which as created, in recent years, a network of microreserves and is interested in direct involvement in the conservation of peat bogs of SW Portugal.
